Small business owners can request state and federal grant funding through the DUNS & SAM program. DUNS, which stands for Data Universal Numbering System, is a unique nine-digit identification number, which allows the government to recognize and validate a business. DUNS registration is free of charge and coincides with SAM registration. SAM, or System for Award Management, allows businesses to  use their DUNS number to create an online business profile that highlights the goods and services they offer. SAM registration  is also free. Businesses only register once, but must renew each year to remain active in the online system. CCC staff can assist clients with individual or group registration, both in-office and on-site.
